About This Course

This is the Human-Computer Interaction course.

We will learn about how design can solve problems. By finishing this course, you will be able to understand the concept of interaction design and human-computer interaction. This includes the ability to distinguish the differences between the concepts of several terms, such as user interface, interaction design, user experience, usability, and so on. You will be able to validate problems and also understand users’ needs. You will be able to do data collection and analysis, create design solutions using several prototyping tools, and finally, you will be able to conduct the evaluation for your design.

Requirements: PC/laptop with adequate access to the internet

By finishing this course and all the tasks that were given, you will be able to:

  1. understand the concept of interaction design and human-computer interaction.
  2. validate problems and also understand users’ needs.
  3. do data collection and analysis.
  4. create design solutions using several prototyping tools.
  5. conduct the evaluation for your design.

All the materials will be delivered in English.

Requirements

This course will be delivered fully online, asynchronously, and self-paced. Meaning that you can learn from anywhere and follow all the materials anytime at your own pace. Therefore, you need to make sure that you have adequate access to the internet and a PC/laptop/smartphone with you.

I would suggest that you spend at most one topic a week, as there will also be several tasks and exercises that you need to do to deepen your knowledge after listening to the video lecture.

This course is a project-based learning course. There will be several video lectures that you can listen to, articles that you need to read, quizzes to test your understanding, and finally, a project that you need to do individually so you can practice to design and solve problems through interaction design.
